Following closely behind is Huntington Beach High School, ranked second with a record of 36-5, and Corona Del Mar High School in third place at 25-7.

Carlsbad High School is fourth with a strong record of 35-3, while fifth place goes to Newport Harbor in Newport Beach with a record of 27-12. Redondo Union High School sits in sixth with 27-11, and Loyola High School holds the seventh spot with a record of 27-7. Rounding out the top eight is Torrey Pines High School at 33-9.

Significant out-of-state competitors also feature in these rankings, with Perry High School from Gilbert, Arizona, ranked ninth at an impressive 42-4, and California’s Mater Dei High School placing tenth with a record of 30-12-2. Beckman High School of Irvine is 11th with 29-8, followed by Coronado High School from Henderson, Nevada at 38-2 in the twelfth position.

Further down the list, Maple Mountain High School in Spanish Fork, Utah, ranks 13th with 29-1, while Punahou High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, comes in 14th at 20-1. The fifteenth spot is held by Canyon Crest Academy from San Diego with a record of 41-3.

In the Midwest, Marist High School leads the rankings in Illinois with 33-2, closely followed by Roncalli High School at 28-3, and Downers Grove North High School with a record of 32-4. Glenbard West High School and Oak Park River Forest High School complete the top five with records of 30-5 and 28-4, respectively.

The 11th through 15th ranks in this region include St. Xavier High School from Cincinnati, Ohio (23-2), Lincoln-Way East High School (29-6), Brother Rice High School (29-7), St. Xavier High School from Louisville, Kentucky (30-1), and Cathedral High School from Indianapolis (30-5).

Strong Representation from the Midwest and South

The rankings continue with De Smet Jesuit from St. Louis, Missouri, holding the 12th position at 34-1, while Hudsonville High School in Michigan is 13th at 28-2. Grand Haven High School is ranked 14th with 44-4, and Archbishop McNicholas from Cincinnati, Ohio, rounds out the rankings in 15th place with a record of 23-1.

In Pennsylvania, Meadville High School tops the state rankings with 34-1-3, followed by Cumberland Valley High School at 15-0 and North Allegheny High School with a record of 12-2.

Florida and Other States Ranked

Meanwhile, in Florida, Lake Howell High School leads the rankings at 29-2, with Winter Park High School in second place at 22-5. Florida’s rankings continue with Timber Creek (27-3) and Lake Brantley (24-5) in third and fourth, respectively.

The rankings demonstrate an exciting competitive atmosphere as playoffs approach, highlighting the formidable talents of teams like Mater Dei, Sierra Canyon, and Marymount from the Southern Section, as well as Cathedral Catholic and Torrey Pines from San Diego. Northern Section competitors include Branson, Archbishop Mitty, and St. Francis, all vying for a shot at the title.

The CIF State championships are scheduled to take place on November 22-23 at Santiago Canyon College in Orange, promising exciting matchups and a showcase of some of the best high school volleyball talent in the nation.
