Families can also explore 70 new family-friendly exhibits that are sure to spark interest and curiosity.
The Field of Honor at Mission San Juan Capistrano is another poignant event running from May 20 to May 26. This powerful display features over 400 American flags, serving as a majestic tribute to our military personnel and first responders. Admission is free for active-duty members and veterans during this heartwarming exhibit located at 26801 Old Mission Rd, San Juan Capistrano.
If you’re looking for a more festive outing, the Newport Beach Wine Festival from May 23 to May 25 at Balboa Bay Resort is not to be missed! The Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach will hold a touching “tolling the boats” ceremony at 11:00 a.m., while the Fountain Valley flag-raising ceremony kicks off at 10:00 a.m. Other locations celebrating include Huntington Beach at Pier Plaza at 11:00 a.m. with speeches and a rifle salute, and Mission Viejo at 200 Civic Center at 8:30 a.m. featuring refreshing musical performances and light refreshments.
