Pamela Jauquet, who was born in Philadelphia, was the daughter of Enerst Hand and Peggy Lancaster. Her family frequently relocated due to her father’s Navy career, which eventually brought them to reside in Huntington Beach, CA, where Pamela graduated from Pomona High School.
In her adult life, Pamela settled in the Truckee area, where she raised her two sons, Beau and Kelly Barrett. She was known for her active lifestyle and dedication to health, often participating in events such as local races. Pamela completed the prestigious Honolulu marathon and maintained a passion for running.
Continuing her education later in life, Pamela obtained her Esthetician license and worked at Walley’s Hot Springs for several years. Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoyed various hobbies including painting, hiking in the Sierra, practicing yoga, and attending the gym. She was also cherished for her genuine friendship and supportive nature.
Pamela was predeceased by her parents and her brother, John. She leaves behind her husband, Thomas Clement Jauquet, as well as her surviving brother, Darrell Hand (Julie), and her sons, Beau and Kelly Barrett. Pamela’s family also includes grandchildren Atom and Forest Barrett, nephews Trais, Scott, and Andy Hand, and a grandniece, Emily Mae Hand.
Throughout her years in Truckee, Pamela Jauquet became a notable figure in the community. Her dedication to health and well-being inspired many, while her artistic talents and love for nature contributed to the local culture. As a runner, she was a familiar face at numerous community events. The memorial celebration will serve as a testament to her impact on friends and family alike.
